This year’s 52nd issue of Young Jump magazine released on Wednesday has announced that Yu Sasuga and Kenichi Tachibana’s Terra Formars manga will enter hiatus again starting in the January 2019 issue of the magazine, to be released on December 6. The hiatus is due to the health issues of the original writer Yu Sasuga. Information regarding the series’ continuation will be announced in a later issues of the magazine or the official website.
Terra Formars has been serialized in Young Jump since January 2011, and its 22nd volume was released as of November 19. The manga has previously entered a hiatus between March 2017 and April 2018 due to the same issues. The series resumed on April 26 of this year.
The series received its first anime adaptation in Fall 2014, followed by a second season in Spring 2016; each ran for 13 episodes. A live-action movie adaptation premiered in April 2016. The 21st and 22nd compiled volumes of the manga released on August 17 and November 19, respectively, included two new OVAs.
