Novel ‘Undead Girl Murder Farce’ Gets TV Anime in Summer 2023

The Fuji TV Anime Lineup Presentation 2023 livestream announced on Wednesday a television anime adaptation of Yuugo Asoaki’s Undead Girl Murder Farce novel and revealed the main staff, cast, a teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2023 on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block.

Asoaki began writing the mystery novel under the Kodansha Taiga imprint in December 2015 and released three volumes as of April 2021.

Haruka Tomoyama began drawing the manga adaptation in Shounen Sirius magazine in May 2016. The manga transferred to Nemesis magazine in June 2017 and then transferred again to Comic Days website in June 2018 after Nemesis ceased publication. Kodansha shipped the third volume in June 2018.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English and released the third volume in July 2021.

Synopsis
The end of the 19th century—a vampire’s wife is murdered, and the detective known as the “cage user” is called in to solve the crime.
