‘Berserk’ Returns from Hiatus – MyAnimeList.net

The eighth 2019 issue of Young Animal announced on Friday that Kentarou Miura’s fantasy manga Berserk will resume serialization in the magazine’s combined ninth and tenth issue on April 26. The manga entered hiatus in August last year.

The manga has been serialized in Young Animal since 1989, and Hakusensha printed the 40th volume on September 28. The manga has received multiple anime adaptations, including a 25-episode TV anime in 1997 by studio OLM, a theatrical trilogy by Studio 4°C, and a 2016 anime with 3DCG visuals produced by Millepensee and GEMBA, which continued in Spring 2017.

Dark Horse licensed the manga in English and published the 39th volume on July 24 last year. Crunchyroll licensed the latest anime adaptation for North American distribution, and released the first season in January 2018.
